The Hensley’s have prayerfully committed to serving with Wiphan in Zambia, Lord willing, for two years. Once they arrive in Zambia, they will work to establish deep relationships with the current staff of Wiphan and learn the culture by spending time with people and asking questions. The family will focus on discipleship and spiritual growth of those who are believers, and consistent presentation of the gospel through words and actions for those who are not born again believers. Wiphan leaders have asked the Hensley’s to learn the culture and gain a better understanding of the true practical needs of the organization within the context of Zambian culture. The Hensley’s will also aid by providing crucial communication between Zambian and American leadership of Wiphan. They will also be networking with local church pastors to encourage families associated with Wiphan to plug into local church bodies.

Additionally, Jason's skill set and technology experience will be valuable as a consultant to the Wiphan staff who currently leads the data center and keyboarding operations. He has also been asked to assist in business matters, Wiphan growth, and sustainability initiatives focused on honoring and expanding the Kingdom of God.

Mandy will be homeschooling their children and working alongside Jason in the home. She will also be intimately involved with discipling the female staff at Wiphan and the girls graduating from Wiphan schools.

Their children will be directly involved with the work at Wiphan in whatever capacity that God leads. They are sure to make quick friends with the orphan students of Wiphan schools, and will be very valuable in bringing the gospel into their lives.

The Hensley’s desire is to seize opportunities to share the gospel and serve others in all aspects of living life in Zambia.

The Lord is changing lives through Wiphan Care Ministries in Zambia. Our family is thankful for the opportunity to serve such a God-honoring organization. The humble leaders of Wiphan in the U.S. are committed to educating and empowering the Zambian people to lead the organization in Zambia and truly understand how to undertake and accomplish international mission work.

The mission of Wiphan is "to equip orphans and widows for a productive life, offering hope to the hopeless through the love of Jesus Christ". Check out the Wiphan website for more information about this amazing organization or to make a tax deductible donation to the Hensley’s ministry.
